SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 2090

Commending Lindsey Brothers, Inc.

Agreed to by the Senate, June 29, 2026

WHEREAS, Lindsey Brothers, Inc., a family owned and operated plumbing business based in Virginia Beach, has provided outstanding service to communities throughout Hampton Roads for 60 years; and

WHEREAS, Lindsey Brothers was established by Jeff and Jennie Lindsey and their children in 1966, and the Lindsey family has proudly served thousands of customers in the course of its history; and

WHEREAS, from leaky faucets and clogged drains to large-scale plumbing solutions for restaurants, schools, health care facilities, and other commercial properties, Lindsey Brothers has cultivated a reputation for excellence as a trusted local business; and

WHEREAS, key personnel at Lindsey Brothers have more than 130 years of combined experience and maintain master plumber, master gasfitter, Class A state contractor, tradesman, backflow prevention, and asbestos supervisor certifications; and

WHEREAS, Lindsey Brothers has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic engagement and philanthropy, supporting a wide range of organizations that strive to enhance the quality of life for all members of the community; and

WHEREAS, over the years, Lindsey Brothers has proudly supported Bettie F. Williams Elementary School, the Norfolk Branch of the NAACP, Norfolk State University, other educational institutions and organizations, and neighborhood youth groups; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Lindsey Brothers, Inc., hereby be commended on the occasion of its 60th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Lindsey Brothers, Inc., as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for the company's legacy of contributions to residential and commercial customers in Hampton Roads.
