SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 2084
Celebrating the life of Kimberly A. Maloney.
Agreed to by the Senate, June 29, 2026
WHEREAS, Kimberly A. Maloney, a highly admired member of the Williamsburg community who enriched local life as the owner of the Williamsburg Pottery Factory, died on April 29, 2026; and
WHEREAS, born in Seoul, South Korea, Kimberly Maloney came to the United States in 1979 and settled in the Williamsburg area, where she inspired others through her perseverance, work ethic, and commitment to civic engagement; and
WHEREAS, after beginning her career at the Williamsburg Pottery Factory, Kimberly Maloney demonstrated exceptional leadership and rose through the ranks to become owner and chief executive officer; and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Maloney helped the Williamsburg Pottery Factory grow to become a cherished local landmark that not only offered its signature salt glaze pottery and other home goods but also supported other local artisans; and
WHEREAS, outside of her career, Kimberly Maloney gave generously of her time and talents to support several local boards and organizations and established a charitable foundation dedicated to the advancement of community service initiatives throughout the Williamsburg area; and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Maloney was an avid golfer and relished every opportunity to seek new experiences and make connections through travel; and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Maloney will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Peter; her sons, Ronald, Grant, Ryan, and Brian, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Kimberly A. Maloney; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Kimberly A. Maloney as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for her memory.
