Commending Walsh's Chicken & More.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, June 22, 2026

WHEREAS, for 55 years, Walsh's Chicken & More in Martinsville has graciously served its customers while becoming a cherished place for family and friends to gather and share a meal; and

WHEREAS, Walsh's Chicken & More is owned and operated by Teressa Walsh and her family, who have long demonstrated a deep commitment to providing exceptional food and service and creating memorable dining experiences for their patrons; and

WHEREAS, Walsh's Chicken & More is celebrated throughout the greater Martinsville area for its famous original recipe chicken, which comes either fried or roasted, as well as its array of homemade classics, including burgers, wings, and seafood; and

WHEREAS, the culinary delights at Walsh's Chicken & More are only outdone by the impeccable hospitality and service of its staff, who make every effort to ensure their guests finish each meal feeling sated and satisfied; and

WHEREAS, Walsh's Chicken & More's longevity is a testament to the vision and leadership of its owners, the professionalism and dedication of its staff, and the unwavering support of its patrons and the entire Martinsville community; and

WHEREAS, Walsh's Chicken & More is emblematic of the impact small businesses make in cities and counties throughout the Commonwealth and is an important reason why Martinsville is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Walsh's Chicken & More hereby be commended for its legacy of excellence and service on the occasion of its 55th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Teressa Walsh, owner of Walsh's Chicken & More, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the restaurant's contributions to Martinsville and the Commonwealth.
