HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2111

Commending the eastern Loudoun County recipients of 100WomenStrong grants.



Agreed to by the House of Delegates, June 22, 2026

WHEREAS, in 2026, six organizations in eastern Loudoun County received grants from 100WomenStrong to support their philanthropic missions; and

WHEREAS, 100WomenStrong was established in 2008 by a group of Loudoun County residents seeking to enhance the quality of life in the community by combining a passion for philanthropic giving with strategic leadership to address important local issues; and

WHEREAS, since its inception, 100WomenStrong has provided grants to other community-based organizations to ensure that every Loudoun County resident has the opportunity to achieve success; and

WHEREAS, America's Soup Kitchen in Chantilly received a $12,500 grant to support free, hot meals for low-income and food-insecure households, which will be of particular benefit to women, disabled individuals, and seniors; and

WHEREAS, Anna Sudha Community Kitchens in Sterling received a $5,000 grant to support its donation of meals to shelters, seniors, and schools; and

WHEREAS, HealthWorks for Northern Virginia received a $20,000 grant supporting 200 e-consultants for uninsured patients, expanding access to specialty care through a secure provider platform; and

WHEREAS, Insight Memory Care Center in Sterling received a $5,000 grant to support monthly group outings focused on brain health geared toward people living with mild cognitive impairment and their families; and

WHEREAS, Love, KK in Sterling received a $4,000 grant to provide consistent, meaningful quantities of locally sourced food to more than 50 low-income families in Lucketts; and

WHEREAS, Women Giving Back in Sterling received a $25,000 grant to provide clothing, food, and other necessities, along with workforce development services, for women and families at its new service hub; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the eastern Loudoun County recipients of 100WomenStrong grants hereby be commended for their work to uplift and empower women and families in Loudoun County; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare copies of this resolution for presentation to the eastern Loudoun County recipients of 100WomenStrong grants as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for their achievements in service to community members in need.
