HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2101
Commending the African American Community Alliance.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, June 22, 2026
WHEREAS, the African American Community Alliance was founded in 2023 through the vision and leadership of J. Hamilton Lambert, then director of the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation, who convened a coalition of community organizations dedicated to strengthening and expanding outreach throughout Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, the African American Community Alliance (AACA) was established as a collaborative umbrella organization committed to enabling and guiding its member organizations in fulfilling their missions through cooperation, shared resources, and collective impact; and
WHEREAS, the AACA promotes sustainable community outcomes by supporting programs and services in the areas of scientific and cultural enrichment, educational and technological training, scholarships, health care education, food security, housing assistance, literacy, and family sustainment; and
WHEREAS, the AACA is distinguished by its commitment to active collaboration among member organizations in order to maximize support and opportunities for the residents of Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, the AACA's member organizations work together to advance educational achievement, promote equity, strengthen families, and improve the quality of life for individuals and communities throughout Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, member organizations of the AACA include civic, educational, cultural, and service-based nonprofits that collectively provide programs benefiting youth, families, seniors, and underserved populations across Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, the partnerships fostered through the AACA have strengthened programs such as literacy initiatives for children in need of individualized instruction and science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education opportunities that teach both academic and life skills; and
WHEREAS, the AACA continues to serve Loudoun County through strategic partnerships, volunteerism, educational outreach, and charitable service that create lasting and meaningful community impact; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the AACA reflects a steadfast dedication to uplifting all residents of Loudoun County through collaboration, inclusion, empowerment, and community advancement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the African American Community Alliance hereby be commended for its outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to improving the lives of the citizens of Loudoun County; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the African American Community Alliance as an expression of the House of Delegates' sincere appreciation for the organization's continued efforts to expand opportunity, strengthen community partnerships, and foster sustainable outcomes that benefit present and future generations.
