Commending Master Sergeant Abner E.D. McDew, USAF, Ret.

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Abner E.D. McDew, USAF, Ret., a proud veteran and a distinguished servant leader in Hampton, has demonstrated exceptional dedication to duty and commitment to excellence over the course of his life; and
WHEREAS, Abner McDew served the nation for 23 years as a member of the United States Air Force, distinguishing himself through his professionalism, discipline, and technical excellence; throughout his military career, he was respected for his strong leadership and unwavering commitment to mission success, earning the trust and admiration of his fellow service members; and
WHEREAS, after his retirement from the United States Air Force, Abner McDew continued to support national defense for 18 years as a civilian employee of the United States Army, contributing his decades of knowledge, expertise, and leadership experience; and
WHEREAS, with a combined 41 years of federal service, Abner McDew's legacy is one of integrity, dedication, and perseverance; beyond his professional accomplishments, he has gone above and beyond to support his family, colleagues, and community members, providing an example of civic engagement, leadership, and high character; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Master Sergeant Abner E.D. McDew, USAF, Ret., hereby be commended for his lifetime of service to the Commonwealth and the nation; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Master Sergeant Abner E.D. McDew, USAF, Ret., as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his personal and professional achievements.
