Commending the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA.

WHEREAS, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, founded in 1889 by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian and currently led by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, is a global Islamic movement dedicated to promoting peace, justice, religious freedom, interfaith understanding, and service to humanity; and
WHEREAS, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, has contributed to civic engagement, humanitarian service, and efforts to foster greater understanding among people of different faiths and backgrounds throughout the Commonwealth and the United States; and
WHEREAS, the annual Jalsa Salana, first convened in 1891, provides an opportunity for worship, education, fellowship, and spiritual reflection and has become a longstanding tradition within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community; and
WHEREAS, Jalsa Salana USA has been held annually since 1948 and has grown into one of the largest gatherings of Ahmadi Muslims in the United States, bringing together participants from across the nation and around the world; and
WHEREAS, the 76th Jalsa Salana USA, to be held from July 3–5, 2026, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, celebrates decades of commitment to peace, education, service, and the community's guiding motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None”; and
WHEREAS, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA demonstrates its commitment to compassion and public service through initiatives such as Jalsa Cares and other charitable and volunteer efforts that benefit communities throughout the nation; and
WHEREAS, through its dedication to faith, service, and mutual understanding, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA has made meaningful contributions to the civic and cultural life of the Commonwealth and the nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA hereby be commended on the occasion of the 76th Jalsa Salana USA in 2026; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its commitment to peace, service, and interfaith understanding.
