Commending the Jamestown High School girls' tennis team.

WHEREAS, the Jamestown High School girls' tennis team won the Virginia High School League Class 4 team state championship in 2026; and

WHEREAS, the Jamestown High School Eagles defeated the John Handley High School Judges by a score of 5–0 in the team finals at Huntington Park in Newport News; and

WHEREAS, Jamestown High School's Paisley Hogue earned an individual state title in the singles competition, and she and her sister, Mikayla Hogue, also secured an individual state title in the doubles competition; and

WHEREAS, the victorious season was a tribute to the skill and determination of all the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of coaches and staff, and the unwavering support of the entire Jamestown High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Jamestown High School girls' tennis team hereby be commended on winning the Virginia High School League Class 4 team state championship; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Jamestown High School girls' tennis team as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the team's athletic achievements and best wishes for the future.
