Celebrating the life of Robert Stouffer.

WHEREAS, Robert Stouffer, a pillar of the congregation at EastLake Community Church in Moneta, died on June 12, 2026; and
WHEREAS, a native of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Robert “Bob” Stouffer studied agriculture at Pennsylvania State University, then worked for the family business, Stouffer Brother Implements, before relocating to Virginia; and
WHEREAS, as founding members of EastLake Community Church in Moneta, Bob Stouffer and his wife, Nancy, helped shape the congregation through their steadfast devotion, servant leadership, and unwavering faith; and
WHEREAS, for more than two decades, Bob Stouffer played a pivotal role in the life and growth of the church, helping recruit new members, secure property for expansion, create a sense of fellowship, and build a spiritual home for countless individuals and families; and
WHEREAS, although Bob Stouffer had recently moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family, he returned to EastLake Community Church to help commemorate the church's 20th anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Bob Stouffer inspired others through his kindness, gentle spirit, and dedication, and his legacy endures through the friends, family members, and fellow congregants whose lives he touched; and
WHEREAS, predeceased by his first wife, Marlene, Bob Stouffer will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Nancy; his children, Andrew, Daren, Brian, Brenda, and Karen, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Robert Stouffer, a highly admired member of the Moneta community who dedicated years of service to EastLake Community Church; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Robert Stouffer as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
