Celebrating the life of Albert Vance Liverman.

WHEREAS, Albert Vance Liverman, a community leader in Hampton who inspired others through his unfailing kindness and unwavering faith, died on April 24, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Vance Liverman was born in 1971 to Carolyn Liverman and the late Willie Liverman; he was a talented multisport athlete in his youth and attended what is now Rider University as a track and field athlete after graduating from Princeton High School; and

WHEREAS, Vance Liverman and his wife, Tanya, married in 1995 and began to raise their family in New Jersey before ultimately relocating to Hampton in 2004; and

WHEREAS, over the course of his professional career, Vance Liverman worked in retail for 25 years and served as a pipefitter at Newport News Shipbuilding for 10 years, but he was best known for his work in the ministry and numerous contributions to local church congregations; and

WHEREAS, Vance Liverman was first licensed as a minister in 2006 at Greater Bethlehem Christian Assembly in Hampton; he subsequently joined Empowered Believers Christian Learning Center, where he was ordained in 2012, and served on the marriage ministry team, intercessory prayer team, security team, transportation team, and outreach team, as well as the praise dancing team with his wife; and

WHEREAS, Vance Liverman joined Branches of the Vine Community Church in 2022 and continued to provide his wise leadership to the ministerial staff and various ministries, including the men's ministry, marriage ministry, security team, intercessory prayer team, and outreach team; and

WHEREAS, Vance Liverman cared deeply for his family members, friends, and neighbors, going out of his way to provide support, encouragement, and comfort to anyone in need; he brought joy to others through his generosity, sense of humor, and inspirational devotion to faith; and

WHEREAS, Vance Liverman will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his loving wife, Tanya; his children, Matt, Justin, Isaiah, Josaiah, Caleb, Yehudah, and Malina, and their families; his mother, Carolyn; his stepfather, Willie McRae; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Albert Vance Liverman, a highly admired member of the Hampton community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Albert Vance Liverman as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
