Commending the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Southeastern Virginia Chapter.

WHEREAS, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Southeastern Virginia Chapter was chartered in 2026 to support the national organization's mission to ensure equity and opportunity for Black women and girls in the areas of health, education, economic empowerment, and public policy; and

WHEREAS, the establishment of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., (NCBW), Southeastern Virginia Chapter represents a significant milestone in the organization's history and will lead to the expansion of new services throughout the Hampton Roads region; and

WHEREAS, the NCBW Southeastern Virginia Chapter will serve as a catalyst for positive change by fostering leadership, civic engagement, and community partnerships; and

WHEREAS, the NCBW Southeastern Virginia Chapter hosted its Chartering Ceremony and Luncheon on May 16, 2026, in Norfolk; and

WHEREAS, the theme of the event, “Anchored in Purpose, Rising in Leadership, and Advancing Advocacy in Service to Our Community,” reflected the NCBW Southeastern Virginia Chapter's commitment to meaningful and sustainable community impact; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Southeastern Virginia Chapter hereby be commended on the occasion of its chartering in 2026; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Southeastern Virginia Chapter as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's appreciation for the importance of the organization's mission and best wishes as it begins to serve the Hampton Roads community.
