HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2054
Commending the AAPI Victory Fund.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 23, 2026
WHEREAS, for 10 years, the AAPI Victory Fund has empowered Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities and worked to promote diversity in elected offices at every level of government in the United States; and
WHEREAS, the AAPI Victory Fund was established in 2016 in Washington, D.C., to elevate the voices of the approximately 24 million Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) across the United States and has grown to become the largest such organization in the country; and
WHEREAS, the AAPI Victory Fund strives to increase representation in local, state, and federal government to better reflect the diversity of the nation and ensure that the unique needs of AANHPI are understood and addressed; and
WHEREAS, the AAPI Victory Fund conducts research and analysis of voter data and demographics and provides important training and resources for candidates and campaign staff to increase awareness of AANHPI issues; and
WHEREAS, the AAPI Victory Fund will commemorate its milestone anniversary in Washington, D.C., on May 14, 2026, with a special event celebrating 10 years of culture and movement building and honoring the community members, trailblazers, and partners who have helped the organization fulfill its mission; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the AAPI Victory Fund hereby be commended for its contributions to the democratic process in the Commonwealth and the United States on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the AAPI Victory Fund as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's legacy of service to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
