Commending Michele Wolford.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 23, 2026

WHEREAS, Michele Wolford, an esteemed teacher with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, was named Larkspur Middle School's 2026 Teacher of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Michele Wolford works tirelessly to create a supportive learning environment that enables students to thrive; and

WHEREAS, one of Michele Wolford's greatest strengths as an educator is her ability to forge relationships and bonds with her colleagues and students, while also helping her students better connect with one another; and

WHEREAS, demonstrating steadfast dedication to her students' well-being, Michele Wolford devotes time to recognizing and addressing the issues impacting her students, building their trust and improving their educational outcomes; and

WHEREAS, known for her compassion and desire to help others, Michele Wolford has embodied the ideals of the education profession, helping to make Virginia Beach a more wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Michele Wolford hereby be commended for being named the 2026 Larkspur Middle School Teacher of the Year; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Michele Wolford as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to the growth and development of young people in the Commonwealth.
