HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2030

Commending Navy Federal Credit Union.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 23, 2026

WHEREAS, for 20 years, Navy Federal Credit Union has proudly served the communities of Frederick County and Winchester; and

WHEREAS, founded in 1933 and headquartered in Vienna, Navy Federal Credit Union has grown into the world's largest credit union by remaining true to its mission of service, integrity, and community; and

WHEREAS, since its opening in 2006, Navy Federal Credit Union's corporate campus in Winchester has been a trusted partner in the Frederick County and Winchester communities, strengthening families, supporting local organizations, and contributing to the area's economic vitality through sustained investment and service; and

WHEREAS, as a member-owned, nonprofit credit union, Navy Federal Credit Union serves active duty and reserve service members, veterans, Department of War personnel, and their families, giving its customers access to secure and dependable financial services that are essential to their financial readiness and peace of mind; and

WHEREAS, Navy Federal Credit Union and its team members at the Winchester corporate campus have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service by contributing significant volunteer hours, financial support, and in-kind resources; through these efforts, they have supported schools, nonprofits, and community partners across the region, creating a lasting and meaningful impact; and

WHEREAS, Navy Federal Credit Union has supported the financial well-being of its members while contributing to the strength and stability of the local economy; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Navy Federal Credit Union are the result of the exemplary leadership and service of its employees, members, and partners; and

WHEREAS, Navy Federal Credit Union's milestone reflects both the organization's longevity and the trust it has earned through responsible financial services, job creation, and ongoing community engagement; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Navy Federal Credit Union hereby be commended for its outstanding service and positive impact as it commemorates the 20th anniversary of service at its corporate campus in Winchester; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Navy Federal Credit Union as an expression of the House of Delegates' sincere appreciation for the organization's continued commitment to serving the military and strengthening families, businesses, and communities in Greater Winchester and the Commonwealth.
