WHEREAS, Domination, an annual Christian hip hop concert founded in 2018 by Ralph Hodge, Corey Goss, and Tony Parson and held in Richmond, has grown to become a leading event for the genre in the Commonwealth and will become the 2Up 2Down Festival in 2026; and
WHEREAS, since its inception, Domination has featured nationally recognized Christian hip hop artists and has provided audiences in Richmond and the surrounding region with access to performances that are often limited to larger markets; and
WHEREAS, the inaugural Domination concert in 2018 drew a sold-out audience of approximately 600 attendees and received national attention within Christian hip hop media; and
WHEREAS, Domination has continued to attract large audiences and has contributed to the cultural and musical landscape of Richmond by hosting performances by a range of established and emerging artists; and
WHEREAS, in addition to its musical programming, Domination has supported the community through initiatives such as the “Dominate the Classroom” scholarship awarded to a high school senior and the “Dominate the Streets” award recognizing community advocacy; and
