WHEREAS, William H. Johnson III, an esteemed teacher with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, was named as Kempsville Middle School's 2026 Teacher of the Year; and

WHEREAS, William Johnson works tirelessly to create a supportive learning environment that enables his students to thrive; and

WHEREAS, one of William Johnson's greatest strengths as an educator is his ability to forge relationships and bonds with colleagues and students, while also helping his students better connect with one another; and

WHEREAS, demonstrating his steadfast dedication to his students' well-being, William Johnson devotes time to recognizing and addressing the issues impacting his students, building their trust and improving their educational outcomes; and

WHEREAS, known for his compassion and desire to help others, William Johnson has embodied the ideals of the education profession, helping to make Virginia Beach a more wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That William H. Johnson III hereby be commended for being named the 2026 Kempsville Middle School Teacher of the Year; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to William H. Johnson III as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his contributions to the growth and development of young people in the Commonwealth.
