Celebrating the life of Chief Master Sergeant John Patrick Armstrong, USAF, Ret.

WHEREAS, Chief Master Sergeant John Patrick Armstrong, USAF, Ret., a devoted husband, proud father, loving son, and faithful servant to the Commonwealth and the United States, died on March 20, 2026; and
WHEREAS, John “Johnny” Patrick Armstrong grew up in King George County and proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Air Force for 22 years, completing multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of operations during the Global War on Terrorism; and
WHEREAS, after his retirement from the military in September 2024, Johnny Armstrong returned to King George County to be closer to his family and the community he loved; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Armstrong inspired others through his commitment to servant leadership, personal strength, courage in the face of adversity, and steadfast faith; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Armstrong will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife, Shannon; his children, Joseph, Madison, and Abigail; his parents, Ken and Anita; his brothers, Timmy, Mike, Tommy, and Billy; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Chief Master Sergeant John Patrick Armstrong, USAF, Ret., a highly admired resident of King George County and a distinguished veteran who served the nation in uniform for more than two decades; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Chief Master Sergeant John Patrick Armstrong, USAF, Ret., as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
