HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 331

Celebrating the life of Branden Patrick Green.



Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 10, 2026

WHEREAS, Branden Patrick Green, an honorable veteran and devoted husband, son, and brother, died on December 11, 2025, leaving a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering integrity; and

WHEREAS, Branden Green earned degrees from Cornell University and the former California University of Pennsylvania, and he was only two months away from obtaining his doctoral degree from Liberty University, which was awarded to him posthumously; and

WHEREAS, Branden Green was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army in 2001, and he served his country with honor, courage, and distinction, completing a combat tour in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2012 and attaining the rank of captain; and

WHEREAS, in his final assignment with the United States Army, Branden Green served as a commander of a Warrior Transition Unit, providing support and encouragement to help wounded and ill soldiers overcome the challenges of their injuries; and

WHEREAS, after his honorable discharge in 2015, Branden Green continued to work to assist disabled veterans and active duty service members, including as a scuba instructor, a program manager for adaptive reconditioning, and a manager for the Ready and Resilient program; and

WHEREAS, in 2023, Branden Green became the executive director of the Tri-River Alcohol Safety Action Program, where he worked tirelessly and with great compassion to help individuals convicted of substance-related offenses restore order to their lives; and

WHEREAS, Branden Green was cherished by all who knew him for his curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to help others in need; and

WHEREAS, Branden Green will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife, Samantha; his parents and five siblings; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Branden Patrick Green; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Branden Patrick Green as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
