SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 110

Commending Harper Bradshaw.

Agreed to by the Senate, March 10, 2026

WHEREAS, Harper Bradshaw, owner and head chef of Harper's Table in Suffolk, was selected as a News 3 Everyday Hero by WTKR for his work to provide nourishing meals to children through his longtime partnership with the ForKids Birdsong Center; and

WHEREAS, for 14 years, Harper Bradshaw has generously supported the nonprofit organization ForKids, which operates the Birdsong Center in Suffolk to provide afterschool care and tutoring for local youths; and

WHEREAS, once a week, Harper Bradshaw and his staff deliver hot, delicious dinners to the Birdsong Center to give young people the energy they need to learn and grow; and

WHEREAS, Harper Bradshaw has also taught cooking classes and donated an in-home chef-prepared dinner as a prize for an auction further supporting the work of ForKids and the Birdsong Center; and

WHEREAS, Harper Bradshaw has inspired others through his kindness, humility, and unwavering commitment to community leadership; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Harper Bradshaw hereby be commended on the occasion of his selection as a News 3 Everyday Hero by WTKR; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Harper Bradshaw as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for his outstanding achievements in service to young people in the Hampton Roads region.
