SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 265

Commending the Broad Run High School competition cheer team.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 12, 2026

WHEREAS, the Broad Run High School competition cheer team won the Virginia High School League Class 4 state championship in 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Broad Run High School competition cheer team defeated the second-place team from Grafton High School with a score of 264.75; and

WHEREAS, Broad Run High School senior Hannah Dufour was selected as the Class 4 Player of the Year, while Megan Bichy was selected as the Class 4 Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Hannah Dufour, senior Mackenzie Gulosh, senior Lilli Howard, senior Grace Krasilovsky, and junior Ariana White were all selected for the Class 4 All-State First Team; and

WHEREAS, the victorious season was a testament to the skill and hard work of all the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of coaches and staff, and the passionate support of the entire Broad Run High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Broad Run High School competition cheer team on winning the Virginia High School League Class 4 state championship; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Megan Bichy, head coach of the Broad Run High School competition cheer team, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the team's achievements.
