SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 230

Commending Destiny Fauntleroy.

WHEREAS, Destiny Fauntleroy, an esteemed educator at Sinclair Elementary School in Prince William County, was named the Prince William County Public Schools Novice Teacher of the Year for grades pre-kindergarten through five for 2025; and

WHEREAS, Destiny Fauntleroy cultivates a learning environment at Sinclair Elementary School that nurtures her students' academic, social, and emotional well-being; and

WHEREAS, Destiny Fauntleroy places an emphasis on building strong and meaningful relationships with her students, families, and colleagues, creating a positive school culture in which everyone feels welcomed, trusted, and supported; and

WHEREAS, Destiny Fauntleroy inspires her students to recognize their potential and to pursue their dreams, empowering them to achieve success both in and out of the classroom; and

WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to the students and families she serves, Destiny Fauntleroy has made a profound and lasting impact on the Sinclair Elementary School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Destiny Fauntleroy for being named the 2025 Prince William County Public Schools Novice Teacher of the Year for grades pre-kindergarten through five; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Destiny Fauntleroy as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her contributions to education in Prince William County and the Commonwealth.
