Celebrating the life of John Christopher Welborn.

WHEREAS, John Christopher Welborn, a passionate musician in King George who was well known for his kindness, loyalty, and service to others, died on November 2, 2025; and

WHEREAS, John Christopher “Chris” Welborn was born on July 23, 1971, and was the only child of John and Ann Welborn; and

WHEREAS, Chris Welborn pursued a career in the music industry and relished every opportunity to perform, finding joy in every note and rhythm; and

WHEREAS, Chris Welborn has most recently served as the bassist for the classic rock and country band Skinny Wallace; and

WHEREAS, Chris Welborn loved to share his extensive musical knowledge with others, especially his son, Matthew, who followed in his father's footsteps in the music industry; and

WHEREAS, Chris Welborn will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his son, Matthew; his loving companion, Erin Harnett; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of John Christopher Welborn; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of John Christopher Welborn as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
