Commending Wendy Henley.

WHEREAS, Wendy Henley, a leader in southeastern Fairfax County for many years, recently concluded her term as president of the South County Federation; and

WHEREAS, a longtime community leader in the South County area of Fairfax County, Wendy Henley has dedicated significant time and energy to strengthening civic engagement and improving the quality of life for local residents; and

WHEREAS, Wendy Henley served as president of the South County Federation from 2023 to 2025, and demonstrated a deep commitment to public service, thoughtful leadership, and dedication to building a stronger sense of community; and

WHEREAS, during her tenure as president, Wendy Henley concurrently served as Education Committee chair of the South County Federation from 2023 to 2025, advocating for policies and initiatives that support strong public schools, safe neighborhoods, and responsible community development in the South County area; and

WHEREAS, Wendy Henley previously served as president of the Gunston Cove Homeowners Association, where she helped address neighborhood concerns and supported residents in maintaining a vibrant and connected neighborhood; and

WHEREAS, Wendy Henley is recognized for her collaborative leadership style and for working tirelessly to strengthen communication and cooperation between civic organizations, residents, and local government leaders; and

WHEREAS, Wendy Henley's efforts have left a lasting positive impact on residents, civic organizations, and local institutions; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Wendy Henley hereby be commended for her achievements and service as president of the South County Federation; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Wendy Henley as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to the South County community.
