Celebrating the life of Alexander Kimari Pye.

WHEREAS, Alexander Kimari Pye, a beloved member of the Norfolk community, died on February 16, 2025, leaving a legacy of love, joy, and compassion; and

WHEREAS, through his kindness, generosity, and deep concern for the well-being of others, Alexander Pye made a profound and lasting impact on his community; and

WHEREAS, Alexander Pye had a gentle, empathetic, and considerate nature that brought comfort and a sense of calm to many; and

WHEREAS, Alexander Pye battled sickle cell disease throughout his life with a quiet strength and indomitable fortitude that inspired all who knew him; and

WHEREAS, despite regularly dealing with his own discomfort, Alexander Pye never failed to show up for and support a family member, friend, or loved one in their time of need; and

WHEREAS, Alexander Pye will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his mother and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Alexander Kimari Pye, whose light brightened countless lives; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Alexander Kimari Pye as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
