RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly confirm the following appointments of certain persons made by Governor Abigail D. Spanberger and communicated to the General Assembly February 2, 2026.

AGENCY HEADS

David Brown of Charlottesville, Virginia, Commissioner of the Department of Health Professions, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor beginning January 22, 2026, to succeed Arne Owens.

Roger Kirchen of Richmond, Virginia, Director of the Department of Historic Resources, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor beginning January 17, 2026, to succeed Julie V. Langan.

Ashaki McNeil of Richmond, Virginia, Director of the Department of Criminal Justice Services, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor beginning January 17, 2026, to succeed [ Amy Floriano Jackson Miller ] .

Melissa Smith of Alexandria, Virginia, Commissioner of the Virginia Employment Commission, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor beginning January 17, 2026, to succeed Demetrios Melis.
