Commending the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis.

WHEREAS, the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis, an organization dedicated to advancing racial and economic justice in the Commonwealth through advocacy and community engagement, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026; and

WHEREAS, the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis (TCI) pursues its mission by cultivating meaningful relationships with members of the community, conducting sound policy analysis and research, communicating complex policy issues clearly and effectively, and advocating tirelessly for policies designed to support individuals and families in need; and

WHEREAS, since its founding, TCI has been a proponent of several meaningful legislative initiatives that have improved the quality of life for working families and underserved communities; and

WHEREAS, TCI's accomplishments in its efforts to achieve racial and economic justice include expanding access to health care, securing policies to assist low-income individuals and families and to improve access to services, and reforming criminal justice policies that unfairly target those with limited means; and

WHEREAS, TCI consistently produces a packet of budget review documents that has proven to be an invaluable resource for educating Virginians on the Commonwealth's budget process; and

WHEREAS, with a deep commitment to justice, equality, and the communities it serves, TCI has helped to make the Commonwealth a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis hereby be commended on the occasion of its 20th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to the Commonwealth.
