Commending Chrysalis Vineyards.

WHEREAS, Chrysalis Vineyards in Middleburg won three gold medals in the Virginia Governor's Cup in 2026 with its 2022 Norton, 2024 Albariño, and 2024 Albariño Verde; and

WHEREAS, Chrysalis Vineyards is guided by the company's vision and mission “to proudly restore Virginia wines to world renown, and celebrate the homecoming of Norton, the Real American Grape”; and

WHEREAS, Chrysalis Vineyards specializes in growing Norton grapes, which are native to the Commonwealth, along with other European varieties that thrive in Virginia's soils and climate; and

WHEREAS, the staff at Chrysalis Vineyards have worked tirelessly to restore and revive the agricultural productivity of the vineyard's land through responsible stewardship in order to produce exceptional wine in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner; and

WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to bringing the production of world-class wine to Virginia, Chrysalis Vineyards has brought great pride and distinction to the Commonwealth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Chrysalis Vineyards hereby be commended for winning three gold medals in the 2026 Virginia Governor's Cup; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Chrysalis Vineyards as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the vineyard's achievements and best wishes for its continued success.
