Commending Brian Hungarter.

WHEREAS, Brian Hungarter, a highly experienced master police officer with the Fairfax County Police Department, was selected as the McLean District Station Community Advisory Committee 2025 Officer of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Brian Hungarter has worked in law enforcement for many years, including nearly a decade with the Fairfax County Police Department, and was selected as the dedicated lead traffic enforcement officer at the McLean District Station in 2024; and

WHEREAS, in that capacity, Brian Hungarter has worked diligently to enforce traffic regulations, improve pedestrian safety, control traffic flow during peak hours, and respond to crashes and other traffic incidents; and

WHEREAS, Brian Hungarter has demonstrated a keen understanding of traffic management strategies and remains dedicated to addressing community concerns; and

WHEREAS, Brian Hungarter has greatly enhanced the safety and wellness of local residents, and his achievements reflect the McLean District's commitment to proactive community policing strategies; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Brian Hungarter, winner of the McLean District Station Community Advisory Committee 2025 Officer of the Year Award, for his work to enhance traffic safety; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Brian Hungarter as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for his legacy of contributions to the residents of McLean.
