Commending the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun.

WHEREAS, the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of Loudoun County residents through community service, celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026; and

WHEREAS, founded in April 1951, the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun has championed numerous endeavors over the years to advance domestic and sexual violence awareness and prevention, children's advocacy, the arts and culture, health and wellness, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement; and

WHEREAS, the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun's notable achievements over the past 75 years include founding the Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Clinic in 1967, developing a countywide after-school care program in the 1980s, and establishing the first Loudoun County chapter of what would become Mothers Against Drunk Driving; and

WHEREAS, in 2025 alone, members of the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun contributed 591 volunteer hours across 40 projects while donating $53,471 in goods and services towards a wide range of service projects and volunteer initiatives; and

WHEREAS, the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun has made an impact as a steadfast partner of several local service organizations, including Mobile Hope, Loudoun Hunger Relief, the ALLY Advocacy Center, UpsideDown Moments, LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services, Veterans Moving Forward, Keep Loudoun Beautiful, the Loudoun Literacy Council, and Backpack Buddies; and

WHEREAS, the dedicated members of the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun have exemplified the highest ideals of community service, compassion, and civic responsibility, making Loudoun County a better place for all residents; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun on the occasion of its 75th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to Loudoun County and the Commonwealth.
