Commending Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club.

WHEREAS, for 50 years, Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club has provided opportunities for recreation, fitness, and athletic competition to the residents of the Oak Hill area in Herndon; and
WHEREAS, established in June 1976, Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club is a nonprofit, member-owned club that offers a wide range of amenities, including a spacious pool with swimming lanes and diving boards and three tennis courts that are open year-round; and
WHEREAS, Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club offers swim lessons, diving lessons, and tennis lessons for members and hosts competitive swim and dive events; and
WHEREAS, the Pinecrest Piranhas of the Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club are a summer swim and dive team that competes in the Northern Virginia Swimming League and in a local developmental league, providing meaningful race opportunities for swimmers of all experience levels; and
WHEREAS, the Pinecrest Piranhas promote growth, teamwork, and a sense of community and focus on skill development and sportsmanship to create a summer experience families look forward to year after year; and
WHEREAS, Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club also hosts regular social events and offers spaces for members to host birthday parties, family reunions, and other gatherings; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the club's long history of service to the community.
