WHEREAS, Connie Matthews Harshaw, president of the Let Freedom Ring Foundation, has been honored by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce with the Roll of the Drum Award in 2025 in recognition of her outstanding leadership, service, and contributions to the business community; and

WHEREAS, the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce's Roll of the Drum Award is the organization's highest honor and is presented to individuals like Connie Harshaw, who demonstrate exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to advancing the mission and vitality of the Greater Williamsburg business community; and

WHEREAS, Connie Harshaw has served as a consultant and advisor to distinguished entities such as the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the World Health Organization, and the United States Department of State; and

WHEREAS, in her role as president of the Let Freedom Ring Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the historical prominence of the First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Connie Harshaw has encouraged cultural tourism, spurred economic growth, and fostered greater community awareness; and

WHEREAS, through her leadership and service, Connie Harshaw has made a meaningful and lasting impact on local businesses and community partnerships; and

WHEREAS, Connie Harshaw's accomplishments reflect the values of service, integrity, and civic engagement celebrated by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Connie Matthews Harshaw hereby be commended for receiving the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Roll of the Drum Award; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Connie Matthews Harshaw as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for her contributions to the Greater Williamsburg region and the Commonwealth.
