Commending Cornerstone Christian Academy.

WHEREAS, Cornerstone Christian Academy in Abingdon, a classical, nondenominational Christian school serving students in preschool through 12th grade, celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2025; and

WHEREAS, in January 2010, several families joined together to establish Cornerstone Christian Academy to provide an academically rigorous education grounded in Christian values and the teachings of the Bible; and

WHEREAS, Cornerstone Christian Academy is dedicated to preparing future leaders who will go out into the world and make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of others; and

WHEREAS, Cornerstone Christian Academy encourages its students to grow in their faith while acquiring the ability to think creatively, reason logically, and write persuasively; and

WHEREAS, employing a classical curriculum and methodology, Cornerstone Christian Academy meets its students' needs at each stage in their academic journeys; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Cornerstone Christian Academy are the result of the visionary leadership of its board of directors, the tireless efforts of its administrators, faculty, and staff, and the hard work and dedication of its students; and

WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to the students and community it serves, Cornerstone Christian Academy has made a profound and lasting impact on countless lives; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Cornerstone Christian Academy on the occasion of its 15th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Cornerstone Christian Academy as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the school's contributions to Abingdon and the Commonwealth.
