Commending the London Bridge Baptist Church.

WHEREAS, for more than 240 years, the London Bridge Baptist Church in Virginia Beach has provided its congregation with uplifting spiritual guidance, joyful occasions for worship and fellowship, and meaningful opportunities for charitable outreach; and
WHEREAS, founded in 1784, the London Bridge Baptist Church has been led over the years by an accomplished line of faith leaders, including its current senior pastor, Greg Brinson; and
WHEREAS, on the campus of the London Bridge Baptist Church, the London Bridge Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten cultivate an exceptional learning environment to help young people grow and thrive; and
WHEREAS, the London Bridge Baptist Church generously supports the community throughout the year through a number of local outreach activities, as well as partnerships with area schools and the People in Need Ministry; and
WHEREAS, in November 2024, the London Bridge Baptist Church welcomed hundreds of messengers for the Southern Baptist Convention of Virginia's 25th anniversary annual homecoming, spotlighting its capacity for hosting large statewide gatherings; and
WHEREAS, members of the London Bridge Baptist Church are preparing for service trips to Puerto Rico and Tanzania in 2026, demonstrating a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others around the world; and
WHEREAS, as a beacon of love, faith, and hope in the Virginia Beach community for more than two centuries, the London Bridge Baptist Church has made a profound and lasting impact on countless lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the London Bridge Baptist Church hereby be commended for its legacy of service in Virginia Beach and beyond; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the London Bridge Baptist Church as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the church's history and its contributions to Virginia Beach and the Commonwealth.
