Commending Master Sergeant Shaquan Williams, VA ANG.

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Shaquan Williams, VA ANG, was selected as the Outstanding Noncommissioned Officer of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard in February 2024; and

WHEREAS, the Virginia Air National Guard provides reserve elements to the United States Air Force and serves as the aerial component of the Virginia National Guard, protecting the skies over the Commonwealth through the outstanding contributions of members like Shaquan Williams; and

WHEREAS, at the time of the award, Shaquan Williams was a technical sergeant serving as a security forces craftsman for the 192nd Security Forces Squadron, 192nd Mission Support Group, 192nd Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis; and

WHEREAS, in that capacity, Shaquan Williams managed, supervised, and performed force protection duties employing necessary force to protect personnel and resources and safeguard nuclear and conventional weapons systems and other critical resources; and

WHEREAS, Shaquan Williams received this prestigious honor at the Virginia Air National Guard's annual awards ceremony in February 2024; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Master Sergeant Shaquan Williams, VA ANG, hereby be commended on the occasion of her selection as the Outstanding Noncommissioned Officer of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Master Sergeant Shaquan Williams, VA ANG, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her achievements in service to the Commonwealth.
