Commending Master Sergeant Solomon Drake, VA ANG.

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Solomon Drake, VA ANG, was selected as the Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard in February 2024; and

WHEREAS, the Virginia Air National Guard provides reserve elements to the United States Air Force and serves as the aerial component of the Virginia National Guard, protecting the skies over the Commonwealth through the outstanding contributions of members like Solomon Drake; and

WHEREAS, at the time of the award, Solomon Drake was serving as the First Sergeant of the 192nd Medical Group, 192nd Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis; and

WHEREAS, as a senior enlisted leader for the 192nd Medical Group, Solomon Drake was a front line ambassador to the unit commander for maintaining the health, morale, and welfare of everyone assigned to the 192nd Medical Group; and

WHEREAS, Solomon Drake received this prestigious honor at the Virginia Air National Guard's annual awards ceremony in February 2024; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Master Sergeant Solomon Drake, VA ANG, hereby be commended on the occasion of his selection as the Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Master Sergeant Solomon Drake, VA ANG, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his achievements in service to the Commonwealth.
