Commending the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program, Inc.

WHEREAS, the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth throughout the Commonwealth and the country through scholarships and community advocacy, celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026; and
WHEREAS, since its founding, the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program has generously provided more than 115 scholarships to students from the Commonwealth, Maryland, South Carolina, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Florida, California, and Arizona; and
WHEREAS, in addition to covering tuition costs without a match requirement, the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program also offers funds to cover books, lab fees, dormitory fees, and more to help students on their educational journeys; and
WHEREAS, to date, the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program has gifted more than $245,000 through scholarships and donations, including $32,700 through 15 scholarships in its most recent program in October 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program is led by its founder and chief executive officer, Kenneth Lewis Lee, and its chief operations officer, Joyce Lee, who have demonstrated a deep commitment to addressing the needs of others through various endeavors; and
WHEREAS, guided by their faith and hope for a brighter future for all young people, the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program has made a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the students it serves; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program, Inc., for its legacy of service on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kenneth Lewis Lee, founder and chief executive officer of the Gospel Worship Experience Scholarship Program, Inc., as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to the Commonwealth.
