Celebrating the life of Terrence Lee Schrum.

WHEREAS, Terrence Lee Schrum, a distinguished law-enforcement officer, accomplished entrepreneur, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and beloved member of the Morrisville community, died on December 17, 2025; and

WHEREAS, a native of York, Pennsylvania, Terrence “Terry” Lee Schrum dedicated 30 years to protecting and serving the citizens of Fauquier County as a member of the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, achieving the rank of sergeant first class; and

WHEREAS, alongside his wife, Donna, Terry Schrum owned and operated a successful landscaping company for more than 20 years, working tirelessly to provide quality lawn care services to his legion of satisfied customers; and

WHEREAS, Terry Schrum's favored pastimes included hunting and watching old Western movies, and he was happiest of all when spending quality time with his family, particularly when cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and other special occasions; and

WHEREAS, Terry Schrum gave generously of his time for more than 25 years serving as Santa Claus every December at local daycares and fire departments, bringing joy and delight to countless children and their families; and

WHEREAS, Terry Schrum will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Donna; his children, Tammy, Terrence II, and Troy, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Terrence Lee Schrum, a cherished member of the Morrisville community whose service and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him for many years to come; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Terrence Lee Schrum as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
