Commending the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

WHEREAS, the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., an organization dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, and social growth of young people in the Greater Fredericksburg community, celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026; and
WHEREAS, the origins of the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America date to 2015, when the Mothers of the Greater Rappahannock Area Provisional Group initiated a toy drive and other outreach endeavors for the benefit of area youth and families; and
WHEREAS, the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America was officially incorporated on October 16, 2016, becoming the 236th chapter of the Jack and Jill of America organization and the 30th chapter in the Mid-Atlantic region; and
WHEREAS, the charter members of the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America are LaTanya Arthur, Tamara Jones Barnes, Ayonda E. Batts, Rochelle Bazemore-Fountain, A. Nancy Carroll, Michelle Cartagena, Nicole Tarlton Cole, Hope R. Coleman, Natasha Monique Edlow, Nancy T. Ellis, Elena P. Gold, Donna Gordon Green, Penny Juggins Hairston, Anedra Henley-Logan, Ellise Mussington-Vigilant, Belinda A. Porter, Rachel Samuel, Giovonni Hargraves Smith, Sukeena Whiteman Stephens, Victoria Hogan Sulyans, Talethia H. Thomas, Mia Newell Valentine, Deirdre Powell White, and Alicia Frenzley Wilkerson; and
WHEREAS, since its founding, the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America has continued to grow and flourish, with new mothers joining its membership each year to advance the organization's efforts to develop partnerships and programs that encourage young people to discover new opportunities and thrive; and
WHEREAS, through their dedication and unwavering commitment to the well-being of the community, the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America has made a positive and lasting impact on the lives of countless young people; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., hereby be commended on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's contributions to the Commonwealth.
