Commending Blue Ridge Cancer Care.

WHEREAS, Blue Ridge Cancer Care, an esteemed medical practice dedicated to the care and well-being of patients with cancer and blood disorders, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025; and
WHEREAS, with nine locations throughout Southwest Virginia and West Virginia, Blue Ridge Cancer Care delivers world-class care close to home, enabling patients to receive state-of-the-art treatments in the comfort of their community; and
WHEREAS, Blue Ridge Cancer Care's team of physicians employs an integrated and collaborative approach to develop individualized treatment plans for every patient that address both the patient's physical and emotional needs; and
WHEREAS, Blue Ridge Cancer Care is a member of The US Oncology Network, connecting the practice to the expertise and resources of more than 1,200 independent physicians who are committed to supporting local cancer care and improving outcomes for all patients; and
WHEREAS, Blue Ridge Cancer Care participates in clinical trials through US Oncology Research, which has contributed to the development of more than 100 oncology therapies approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), representing approximately one-third of all FDA-approved cancer therapies to date; and
WHEREAS, Blue Ridge Cancer Care is deeply committed to advancing the practice of oncology, supporting the development and use of new technology, treatment methodologies, and early detection measures; and
WHEREAS, through their commitment to compassionate and quality care, the physicians and staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Care have made a profound and lasting impact on countless lives over the past half-century; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Blue Ridge Cancer Care for its legacy of service on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Blue Ridge Cancer Care as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to the Commonwealth.
