Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. For purposes of subsection D of § 62.1-44.19:21, Code of Virginia, the term nutrient credit shall include nutrient credits generated by point sources or by nonpoint sources in accordance with the requirements of Article 4.02 of Chapter 3.1 of Title 62.1, Code of Virginia, and the same conditions and limitations set forth in (i) through (iv) of subsection A of § 62.1-44.19:21, Code of Virginia, shall apply in the case of point source nitrogen or phosphorus credits acquired, used, and transferred for compliance. The provisions of this legislation shall expire on June 30, 2027.
