Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (the Department) shall analyze the existing authority for oversight and accountability of group homes and make recommendations for increasing the oversight and accountability of group homes. The Department shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Chairs of the House Committee on Health and Human Services and the Senate Committee on Education and Health by November 1, 2026.
