Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Brunswick Correctional Center operated by the Department of Corrections shall be sold in accordance with the provisions of § 2.2-1156 of the Code of Virginia. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 2.2-1156 of the Code of Virginia or any other provisions of law, the proceeds of the sale of the Brunswick Correctional Center shall be paid into the general fund. Furthermore, notwithstanding the foregoing, the Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Corrections, shall convey, in accordance with § 2.2-1150 of the Code of Virginia, without monetary consideration, to Brunswick County the following parcels of land, including all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying in Brunswick County: (i) all of Parcel 53-1B and (ii) any easements and rights of way across the property that are a part of the Brunswick Correctional Center that are necessary for Brunswick County to access Parcel 53-1B conveyed to it.
