Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Compact Administrator of the Virginia State Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision and the Director of the Department of Corrections shall continue to accept and review applications for the confinement of inmates from a state party to the Interstate Corrections Compact entered into pursuant to § 53.1-216, but shall not approve any placement of any such inmate at the Red Onion State Prison until such time as the General Assembly reauthorizes such placement.
