HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 860

Commending Honeysuckle Cafe.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 21, 2025

WHEREAS, Honeysuckle Cafe, a celebrated purveyor of sandwiches, salads, soups, and brunch in Norfolk, opened in 2024; and

WHEREAS, Honeysuckle Cafe was founded by Susan and Ross Fetterly, who have more than a decade of experience in the food industry and who have run their own catering company since 2021; and

WHEREAS, Honeysuckle Cafe combats food insecurity in the community through its involvement with the 757 Community Fridges initiative, which makes food supplies available to those who cannot easily reach a food pantry; and

WHEREAS, Honeysuckle Cafe has fostered collaboration and community engagement by partnering with several local chefs, artists, and artisans; and

WHEREAS, Honeysuckle Cafe is a dedicated advocate for expanding childcare access for working families and small businesses around the Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, through its commitment to making excellent food and providing exemplary service, Honeysuckle Cafe has helped to make Norfolk a wonderful place to live, work, and enjoy a meal; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Honeysuckle Cafe hereby be commended for its exceptional food and service; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Honeysuckle Cafe as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to Norfolk and the Commonwealth.
