HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 852

Commending Sarah Everhardt.



Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 21, 2025

WHEREAS, Sarah Everhardt, a resident of Haymarket and a senior at Battlefield High School, earned a bronze medal at the Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas, in January 2025; and

WHEREAS, Sarah Everhardt previously finished fourth at the 2024 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships, then followed up with a victory at the Cranberry Cup International in Boston, Massachusetts, and a silver medal at the ISU Challenger Series Lombardia Trophy in Bergamo, Italy, in September 2024; and

WHEREAS, at the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Sarah Everhardt posted her best score in the free skate with 136.64 points and earned 207.36 over the course of the two-day event; and

WHEREAS, by placing in the top five of the senior nationals for the second time, Sarah Everhardt automatically qualified for the 2026 national championship, which will be the final qualifying event prior to the selection of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team that will represent Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Sarah Everhardt hereby be commended on winning a bronze medal at the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Sarah Everhardt as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her athletic achievements and best wishes for future success.
