HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 809

Commending Social Burger.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 20, 2025

WHEREAS, Social Burger, a beloved restaurant in Vienna that has greatly served the Fairfax County community, celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2024; and

WHEREAS, Social Burger was founded by Vienna local Denise Lee in 2014, who set out to create a restaurant that would create memorable culinary experiences while also making a difference in the community; and

WHEREAS, Social Burger offers customers a classic selection of mouth-watering burgers, freshly cooked fries and onion rings, and tasty milkshakes and beverages; and

WHEREAS, Social Burger has fostered connections in the community by bringing friends and neighbors together to share a meal; and

WHEREAS, when ordering, customers at Social Burger have the option of purchasing a hot meal or case of bottled water for The Lamb Center, a daytime drop-in homeless shelter in Fairfax County, which has led to the donation of more than 6,500 meals to the organization; and

WHEREAS, Social Burger has made a profound and lasting impact through its innumerable fundraisers with local sports teams and organizations and as a frequent sponsor of blood drives with Inova Blood Donor Services; and

WHEREAS, Social Burger's unwavering dedication to making quality food and supporting local organizations has helped to make Fairfax County a wonderful place to live, work, and enjoy a meal; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Social Burger hereby be commended on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Social Burger as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to Fairfax County and the Commonwealth.
