HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 716

Commending the Vienna Assembly of God.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 18, 2025

WHEREAS, for 80 years, the Vienna Assembly of God has provided its congregation with uplifting and inspiring spiritual guidance, joyful occasions for worship and fellowship, and abundant opportunities for community outreach; and

WHEREAS, as a member of the Assemblies of God, USA, the Vienna Assembly of God devotedly pursues its mission to lead the community with love in a growing relationship with God; and

WHEREAS, the Vienna Assembly of God has been directed by a succession of wise and benevolent pastors, including its current pastor, Brenda Burns, who has led the congregation since January 2018; and

WHEREAS, through its various service and outreach activities, the Vienna Assembly of God has been a transforming influence in the community and has made a difference in countless people's lives; and

WHEREAS, the Vienna Assembly of God has admirably served as the spiritual home to many individuals and families over the past 80 years, helping its members to flourish in their faith and to become impactful leaders of their community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Vienna Assembly of God hereby be commended for its legacy of service on the occasion of its 80th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Vienna Assembly of God as an expression of the House of Delegates' high regard for the church's history and its contributions to the Commonwealth.
