HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 710

Commending Cooper Cutchins.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 17, 2025

WHEREAS, Cooper Cutchins, a member of the Norfolk Academy field hockey team, was named to the 2024 Scholastic All-American Third Team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association; and

WHEREAS, Cooper Cutchins, a senior, plays defense and midfield for the Norfolk Academy field hockey team, and has been a versatile member of the varsity team throughout her high school career; and

WHEREAS, in 2024, Cooper Cutchins helped lead the Norfolk Academy field hockey team to an 18–3 overall record and a victory in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I state championship; and

WHEREAS, Cooper Cutchins has committed to attending Pennsylvania State University, where she will continue to play field hockey with the Nittany Lions; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Cooper Cutchins hereby be commended on her selection to the 2024 Scholastic All-American Third Team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Cooper Cutchins as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her athletic achievements.
