HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 693
Commending Harlan Construction.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 17, 2025
WHEREAS, for six decades, Harlan Construction, a family-owned business in Hopewell, has proudly served industrial and commercial clients as a general contractor known for its professionalism and integrity; and
WHEREAS, throughout its history, Harlan Construction has grown steadily to become an industry leader and a significant contributor to the local economy; the company recently opened a new fabrication shop in Hopewell, further expanding its capabilities; and
WHEREAS, the success of Harlan Construction has been built upon its unwavering commitment to core values, which are to ensure top-quality work delivered on time and on budget, to prioritize the well-being of all workers on every site, to approach every project with dedication and discipline, and to respond swiftly to changing conditions in a manner that best serves clients; and
WHEREAS, Harlan Construction has been guided by its president, Will Harlan, who has served the company with integrity and a safety-first mindset for over 30 years, alongside vice presidents Jake Harlan, who continues to uphold those values while driving growth, and Sam Heiberger, who oversees construction processes to maintain exceptional quality; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Harlan Construction hereby be commended for its 60 years of outstanding service, its continued commitment to excellence, and its contributions to the construction industry and community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Harlan Construction as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to the construction industry and community.
