HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 604

Commending Godson Vondee.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 10, 2025

WHEREAS, Godson Vondee, a distinguished member of the Prince William County Police Department, received a 2024 Law Enforcement Award of Excellence for Impaired Driving Prevention and Enforcement from the Washington Regional Alcohol Program; and

WHEREAS, Godson Vondee has recorded more than 80 arrests for impaired driving, making critical contributions to traffic safety in Prince William County; and

WHEREAS, Godson Vondee has undoubtedly saved numerous lives by taking impaired drivers off the roads; and

WHEREAS, Godson Vondee is a two-time winner of the Law Enforcement Award of Excellence for Impaired Driving Prevention and Enforcement; and

WHEREAS, Godson Vondee was one of 17 law enforcement officers in the region to receive the award, which was presented at the Washington Regional Alcohol Program's 27th annual awards ceremony in December 2024; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Godson Vondee hereby be commended for receiving a 2024 Law Enforcement Award of Excellence for Impaired Driving Prevention and Enforcement from the Washington Regional Alcohol Program; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Godson Vondee as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his commitment to safe driving and efforts to safeguard the residents of Prince William County.
